Just as the legendary 300SL Gullwing Coupe is better loved by some as the 300SL Roadster, Mercedes’ modern supercar is available without a fixed roof. There aren’t many ways to spend this much and go 206 mph topless with such ease. One look and you get the idea that this was planned all along, as this configuration does nothing to spoil the SLR’s lines. You might even say it improves them. Like it or not, the proboscis monkey nose still adorns the front end. You get what you pay for: Your SLR is assembled in the same facilities as F1 cars.
